What starts off with a zoom on a hydraulic piston, eventually reveals a very private gesture of female intimacy. This sober film without speech builds up a rhythm through the use of sound, alternatively using silence or noise to compose the subject.

Everyday all over the world, in every country, there is a red carpet. Handshakes, photos taken, symbolic gesticulations. In this film we concentrate on this precise ritual with an interesting choice of the filmmaker shooting frame.

This documentary focuses on a time-punch machine. One by one, employees come, punch and go. A reserved atmosphere with an aesthetic that emphasizes the old-fashioned space is animated by the doorman and the different people marching out without lingering.

We meet the owner of a watch repair shop, a young woman from Norway who works in a fetish shop and a man working in a dry cleaning place. A simple and bare vision of their daily routine.

We are in Geneva and most precisely at the Usine, a self-managed cultural center. A Butō dancer is suspended to the front wall of the building from dawn to dusk…during a period of 4 seasons. The filmmaker shoots for an entire year the interventions of the dancer as well as people’s gaze, to both her absolute and breathtaking movements.
