The LUFF 2008 musical programme lies somewhere in between voodoo music and Burroughs music*. Once again our ritualistic altar, namely the stage of Casino de Montbenon, shall feed upon the bleeding tissues of rock, metal, psychedelic folk, experimental electro, and hip hop music as they writhe and burn, slowly turning to ashes and smoke, and eventually spiralling out of control.
Following the SuperWiseMan W. Burroughs who in his time heralded the coming of an era of highly sophisticated and total control, we deemed it befitting, necessary, and even sound (!), to conceive this year's programme as a sonic experience rather than a visual show, as has often been the case in the past. An experimentation in stripping the music we thrill on from its codes, references, and mental constructions. In all modesty...
