From the opening of the festival, you are invited to the vernissage of the release of the first volume of the LUFF-Groupe de la Riponne new collection soberly titled « Zbigniew Karkowski, Physique Sonore ». Every LUFF edition will have its new volume with credits given to a different artist every year. This first book comes with a CD on which an original piecework called « form and disposition » by Zbigniew Karbowski is recorded. It is interpreted by himself and Daniel Buess and will be performed live tonight.

Daniel Buess is a Swiss versatile percussionist who works with contemporary music ensembles (Phoenix Ensemble de Bâle) as well as experimental rock bands or improvised music projects.

Getting Daniel Buess together with Zbigniew Karbowski, one of the most important composer and performer of today’s electronic music, great master of the seismic power and raw sound multitude, is promising of a brilliant exchange: a clash of loud waves made of subsonic frequencies with intense percussion motifs, extremely heavy and physically engaging.
