Performer and activist renowned for his work as soloist and in collaboration with the « Schimpfluch » art collective on international experimental stages for more than twenty years, Dave Phillips returns this year to the LUFF to present his project « filed recordings », recently released on CD under the New-Yorker label « Little Enjoyer ».
His insects sound recordings, set in Vietnam, will be presented raw, without any additional electronic effects nor handlings other than frequencies equalizer reproducing the incredible musicality and physicality of the sounds produced by the insect: a total immersion in the sonorous matter, a chance to discover an aspect of the fabulous field of sounds present in the biodiversity.
