Matthew Bower and Stuart Dennison created Skullflower, centrepiece of the English underground scene, in 1985. The band has released many albums, vinyls and audio tapes offering a unique sonic magma, a sort of infernal blend of « free-noise » and « power electronics », hectic, abrasive and subversive. Over the years, Skullflower’s music developed, hosting sometimes musicians such as Stephen Thrower (Coil), Philip Best (Whitehouse) and Stefan Jaworzyn (Ascension).
Tonight, Matthew Bower’s guitar, sharp like never before, shows promise of an intense instrumental sacrifice, a true chaotic ritual in the name of the unholy gods of noise and feedback.
