Douglas Buck, Buddy Giovinazzo, David Grgory, Karim Hussain, Jeremy Kasten, Tom Savini, Richard Stanley - 2011 - USA/France - English with French subs - 114' - HD

This is one of the most unexpected film projects of the year: the return of the sketch-movie genre with a dizzying cast composed of some of the most original and daring film directors of the past 30 years. It is thanks to the efforts of the Americans of Severin Films and the French of Metaluna Productions that this miraculous meeting could take place. Douglas Buck (Family Portraits), Buddy Giovinazzo (Combat Shock), David Gregory (Plague Town), Karim Hussain (Subconscious Cruelty), Jeremy Kasten (the remake of The Wizard of Gore), Tom Savini (makeup star of the 1980’s and director of the remake ofThe night of the living Dead), as well as the too scarce Richard Stanley (Hardware, Dust Devil) are all together in this production. The result is a stylized homage to the Théâtre du Grand Guignol in seven stories ranging from pure fantasy to horror, presented by a crumbling robot inacted by Udo Kier, who surveys the decrepit scene of a theater in ruins. An old style film, a perverse and bloody anthology in which monsters, gore and sex are combined; the ideal combination to close the festivities of this tenth edition!
