All About Evil
To mark the occasion, the opening will itself be opened by an exclusive show prepared by Peaches Christ and her drag friends who came directly from London and San Francisco! After-show by Riond & Les Groupies
The young librarian Deborah Tennis inherits the Victoria, her father’s old neighborhood movie house whose finances prove disastrous. While doing what is needed to save the family business, she discovers she has a talent for murder. And murders, she will commit a lot, all staged and filmed for the needs of horrific short films that will raise the providential filmmaker to the rank of local celebrity!
Joshua Grannell, aka Peaches Christ, drag queen star of the Midnight Masses dedicated to bis cinema in San Francisco, returns to LUFF five years after his first coming to Lausanne, to open the tenth edition under the banner of glitter and hemoglobin! A true love letter to scary movies and horror, All About Evil is the kind of film likely to warm up the heart of all moviegoers raised by the classics of the genre, be they the 1930’s Universal Studio monster movies or the 80's slashers. It is expectable to find in the cast the iconic guest stars of a certain off-the-wall cinema, such as the always refreshing Cassandra Peterson, best known under the name of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, or Mink Stole, iconic actress of John Waters. Beyond the celebration of genre cinema, All About Evil is also a distress call about the disappearance of local cinemas, an endangered species for which fanatics like Joshua Grannell keep on struggling.
To learn more about the dilapidated flicks that have perverted the cinephile mind of Joshua Grannell, go there and immerse yourself in the carte blanche offered to Peaches Christ, an opportunity to shed light on some of key titles that have allowed All About Evil to come to life!
