Carte blanche à Peaches Christ

The great return of Peaches Christ at LUFF couldn’t be limited to the screening of his first feature film. And because part of his cinematographic education is similar to ours, it seemed logical to offer him a carte blanche.

But who is Peaches Christ? Peaches Christ is an underground drag phenomenon, emcee, filmmaker, actor, and part time cult-leader hailing from San Francisco. "Midnight Mass with your hostess Peaches Christ" is San Francisco’s hugely popular midnight movie event, the elaborate pre-show stage productions, guest stars, and drag spectacles continue to draw sell-out crowds. Guest stars at Midnight Mass have included Elvira, Mink Stole, Tura Satana and Mary Woronov (to name a few). She also stars in a number of short films written and directed by her alter-ego Joshua Grannell. They have become international hits at film festivals - including the LUFF in 2006 - and on cable television. 2010 marked his feature film debut with All About Evil, our opening movie for this 10th edition.
