Industrial Culture Handbook, W.S. Burroughs Unpublished

- RE/Search Fanzine
This exhibition will be shown during the LUFF and is curated by V. Vale, the underground publisher devoted to counterculture and the artistic edges, who started with the punk fanzine Search & Destroy in 1977. History says that the fanzine - soon after retitled RE/Search - received its very first financial support ($ 100) from Allen Ginsberg and Lawrence Ferlinghetti.
Based in the heart of the Beat Generation in San Francisco, V. Vale and Andrea Juno published well documented issues in such ways that they gave some unity to previously scattered works and artists. It may be trivial to speak of only one «industrial» culture, but issue #6/7, entitled Industrial Culture Handbook (1983, with a new edition in 2006), is still one of the only manuals of that time documenting these extreme musical stagings that shared the ideas of William S. Burroughs.)
Exhibition
William S. Burroughs, the author of Naked Lunch, in a less literary, more provocative and personal light; with never before seen videos, images texts and lecture by V. Vale.

the bands Throbbing Gristle, Z’EV (Z'EV will play 19 Oct.@ Salle des Fêtes), SPK, Cabaret Voltaire, Rhythm & Noise (see Illegal Art Symposium), etc…
