Sci-fi cinema from the 1950's-70's generated an incredibly rich visual universe full of wacky technology, weird spacesuits and rubber monsters. A great playground fo any Flash Gordon fans adept of the found footage technique. So here are two completely different films but that have the particularity of using old-school sci-fi imagery. On one side, we have the frivolous Sex Galaxy (2008) produced by Jonathan Yudis (director of Pervert!, LUFF2006), which hijack the Russian sci-fi epic Planeta Bur (1962), manipulated by Roger corman in the 60's. On the other, we have the ambitious and political Mock Up on Mu (2008), directed by one of the most prestigious student of Bruce Conner: Craig Baldwin, and where Damon Packard himself plays the part of L. Ron Hubbard!
