Sum of R

Time stretches and stops. Bern at the turn of the century... here comes the drone doom ceremony with psychedelic and minimalistic band Sun of R, a massive and porous soundwave. The current members all come from our national capital town, and have the same heavy noise/doom/experimental influences. The project started as one of electro-acoustitian Reto Mäder's (aka RM74) side-projects; he was a member of OHNE together with Tom Smith, Daniel Löwenbrück, and Dave Phillips, and co-founded label Hinterzimmer with Roger Ziegler, who later joined him in Sum of R with experimental turntablist Christopher Hess, aka Strotter Inst. Both previously worked together in analogical noise big band Herpes Ö DeLuxe.
