Zeek Sheck

Zeek Sheck

US - SANDSTORM /Dot Dot Dot - Website

in collaboration with In Famous Carousel, Paris

Zeek Sheck is a voodoo priestess tyrant. Gifted with the power to turn nightmares into reality, she gave birth to some of the weirdest albums to come out of the 90s. She was supported by a devoted following of freaks in Chicago, hometown of the Skin Graft label which publishes not only her music but also her comics. Appearing on stage with her face covered in painting or hidden behind paper masks, she is renowned for her performances as a one-woman band, although she will here be on a mission to impose her LAW OF NOISE, backed by her sisters Zarconia and Zelda: During the war against the Bleepers, in the early days of the Zemag Era, the three sisters were beheaded. Their heads were used by the Care Company as a resource for its Rebrainwashing service. A small group of Resistance fighters from the CLOUD PEOPLE vainly attempted to release them, but eventually went back to their old habit of running away from the Care Company. They ran and ran, and then sat down until a sandstorm held them up for 17 years, after which time only a small group of revolutionaries were left to survive in a cave. This is the story they will tell us tonight, the tale of a storm narrated with drums, wood pads, robot machines, insect parades, nail cuttings, tumpets, basses and guitars, visual effects and actual sand creatures.
