Saccages is the second volume in the "Rip on/off" series, a joint venture between LUFF and Le Groupe de La Riponne. The first volume, which came out last year, was made up of a collection of writings by Polish composer and performer Zbiniew Karkowski - high priest in Noise music. Our choice went this year to California's GX Jupitter-Larsen, an artist who draws unexpected ties between probability theory, popular sci-fi, the cultivation of randomness, and the poetry of wrestling. The book consists of a compiling of sound theory and short fiction texts written between 1978 and 2009. In order to help the reader replace GX's work in its context, we have added a short introduction as well as a glossary, a selection of performances, some records and writings by the artist, and a short prepared text by Vincent Barras.
The inauguration will be followed by a stage performance by GX Jupitter-Larsen and The Haters.
